The Forever Mouse

The Logitech M705.

A couple years ago I found myself in need of a basic 3-button mouse for use with 3d modeling applications.  Wireless mice are nice, but I was getting tired of constantly changing the batteries every month. So when I came across this one which Logitech boasts as having a 3 year battery life at under $40, I decided to give it a shot. Well here I am over 2 years later and I am very pleased to report that it is still showing a remaining charge of 80%! I have never changed the batteries since the day I opened it.

Unix Network Programming

Unix Network Programming

There are very few advanced networking reference books out there, and even fewer that actually get it right. Unix Network Programming is *the* reference book for Sockets. The only thing missing here is the linux epoll interface, but since this is unix book, I wasn’t expecting it to be.

I have been using to host my website  for a little over a year now and have been very pleased with their service so far. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for bare bones VPS solution. They offer you complete control over your server, providing your choice of linux install and the ssh details for root access. They also have a free iOS app for performing reboots, backups, and viewing usage stats.
